Helsby is a privacy advocate, activist and researcher. She organizes Cryptoparty Chicago (@cryptopartychi) at Southside Hackerspace in Pilsen. Cryptoparties are free events aimed at educating the public how to use cryptography and security tools to establish private communications in an era of pervasive government surveillance.
