Rubina Madan Fillion

Fillion is an editor on The Wall Street Journal's audience engagement team, which focuses on social media, mobile strategy, analytics, search-engine optimization and digital innovation across the newsroom. Fillion was previously a graphics editor at The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, where she designed maps, illustrations, charts and other infographics. A former education reporter, she has also written for Reuters, The Huffington Post, The New York Post, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, SPIN and the Associated Press. Fillion is an adjunct professor at New York University, where she co-teaches a graduate level course on digital journalism. She serves on the board of the Deadline Club, New York's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree from Emory University.
