Wittenstein is a partner in Cooley's Technology Transactions practice group and resident in the Washington, DC office. Mr. Wittenstein is the former head of the Media & Information Technology practice at Dow Lohnes, which merged with Cooley in 2014. Mr. Wittenstein handles copyright, trademark and related issues for clients in a broad range of industries, with a specialization in the media, telecommunications, technology and education industries. He advises cable television, broadcast and other communications industry clients on network affiliation, syndicated programming and licensing agreements, retransmission consent, and copyright issues as well as a wide range of regulatory, legislative, and policy issues before the FCC and other regulatory bodies.
