Campwala is the head of business development at Stitcher, the leading on-demand talk radio and podcast service. He works with automotive manufacturers such as BMW and Ford, consumer electronics companies like Samsung and Sonos, and top digital audio producers such as NPR, APM, and BBC to bring great listening experiences to listeners on the go on their smartphones in and in the car. Previously, Campwala was the managing editor of NewsTrust, a startup funded by Omidyar and MacArthur focused on creating quality information filters for online news media. Prior to NewsTrust, Campwala was a technology consultant to the City of New York on audio communications projects, including Mayor Bloomberg’s “311″ government information service. He earned an A.B. from Brown University in political science, with a focus on American political development, and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, where he researched monetization strategies for online news.
