Virdee works on Product at Embedly, developing new ways to create, remix, and share media. He manages the design and gets feedback for Embedly's products. This has led him into the world of technology and journalism, recently organizing Hacking Journalism at the MIT Media Lab. You're likely to see Virdee at local meetups and hackathons, or traveling to conferences on media and technology. He is a trustee of the Boston chapter of the Awesome Foundation. Virdee also makes interactive art, and helps organize Boston Creative Coders, exploring new ways of expression through technology. Previously, he researched at the New England Complex Systems Institute, using data mining and sentiment extraction to explore media sharing in social networks.
