Mandy Jenkins

Mandy Jenkins is the current secretary for the ONA Board of Directors, finishing out her first term. She is also the Open Newsroom Editor for Storyful — a 24/7 social news agency that specializes in finding, verifying and distributing user-created content from the social web. She is the former Managing Editor for Digital First Media’s Project Thunderdome. Prior to that, she was the Huffington Post’s Social News Editor for politics and coordinated the company’s citizen journalism program, OfftheBus. Mandy was social media editor for Washington, D.C. local news startup TBD and has served in several digital roles at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and The Cincinnati Enquirer. Mandy has led training sessions on community engagement, social media and digital tools for organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Mandy lives in New York City.
