Wesley Lowery

An online political reporter for the Washington Post, Lowery covers Congress and national politics. He previously covered breaking news and local politics for the Boston Globe, where he contributed coverage to the team that was awarded the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings. While at the Globe, Lowery was the lead reporter covering the arrest and legal proceedings in the case of former NFL star Aaron Hernandez and was a member of the team that covered the 2013 mayoral race. Lowery's work has also appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, PBS,The Detroit News and the Columbus Dispatch. He is a former national board member of the National Association of Black Journalists and was named the organization's 2014 Emerging Journalist of the Year.
