The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press provides pro bono legal advocacy, resources and support to protect journalists’ First Amendment freedoms and newsgathering rights. We draft, coordinate and file amicus briefs and statements, often with media and transparency organizations; develop online and digital tools for journalists; and provide on-the-spot assistance to reporters through our media law hotline and website.
