International Reporting Trips: How Not to Screw Them Up

This is for a Panel in the category for a Beginner audience.

We all dream about the assignment that takes us to far-flung, exotic locales. But once you\’ve been given the nod, how do you go about preparing? This panel will discuss international science reporting trips, how to organize them and, most importantly, how NOT to screw them up. When you only have one shot at a story, you have to make it count. This is a useful topic, applicable to all reporting trips. It\’ll give panelists the opportunity to tell colorful stories and interact with the audience.

How does your submission contribute to the diversity of the conference?

The speakers are professionals of varying ethnicities and ages with backgrounds in different mediums. Any combination would make for a great panel.

What will your audience have gained by the time your session is over?
