Ferraro is a “Sesame Street” script writer and lyricist who has won 11 Daytime Emmy Awards and 3 Writers’ Guild of America Awards. In addition to her extensive work on the series, she has also written multiple Sesame Street prime-time specials, songs, DVDs, and live stage shows, as well as Sesame Street’s more serious Outreach initiatives, which cover topics such as divorce, the incarceration of a parent, economic insecurity, hunger, the death of a parent, and issues for children of military families (deployment, injury, etc.).
